About Quindim
Quindim is a bright yellow Brazilian dessert made from egg yolks, sugar and grated coconut, baked in small molds until set into a shiny custard.
The coconut forms a slightly chewy base, while the top is smooth and glossy. It is very sweet and rich.
Quindim comes from Portuguese convent sweets made with egg yolks. African cooks in Brazil added coconut, which made it uniquely Brazilian.
