About Korma
Korma is a mild, creamy Indian curry of meat or vegetables braised in yogurt, cream and a paste of ground nuts like almonds or cashews.
It comes from the Mughlai cuisine of the Mughal emperors in the 16th century. The name comes from an Urdu word meaning "to braise". Spices like cardamom, cinnamon and cloves give it a fragrant flavor.
Korma is less spicy than many curries and is popular in Indian restaurants around the world. It is served with rice or naan.
