About Burrito

A Burrito is a large flour tortilla wrapped around a filling of meat, beans, rice, cheese and salsa. It comes from northern Mexico, where wheat flour tortillas are common.

In Mexico, burritos are usually simple, with just one or two fillings, such as beans or stewed meat. The name means "little donkey" in Spanish.

The large, tightly wrapped burrito filled with rice, beans, meat, guacamole and sour cream was developed in the United States, especially in San Francisco's Mission District. Today burritos are a popular fast food around the world.
