About Goi Cuon
Gỏi Cuốn are Vietnamese fresh spring rolls made by wrapping shrimp, pork, rice vermicelli, lettuce and fresh herbs like mint and Thai basil in soft, translucent rice paper. They are not fried.
The pink shrimp show through the rice paper, making the rolls look fresh and pretty. They are often called summer rolls or salad rolls in English.
Gỏi cuốn are served with a dipping sauce made from hoisin sauce and peanuts, or with nước chấm, a fish sauce dressing. They are a popular light snack or appetizer in southern Vietnam.
