About Tartiflette
Tartiflette is a hearty French Alpine dish of potatoes, bacon (lardons) and onions, baked with cream and a whole Reblochon cheese on top until bubbling and golden.
It comes from the Savoie region of the French Alps. Reblochon, a soft, creamy cow's milk cheese, melts into the potatoes, giving the dish its rich flavor.
Although it is based on older dishes, tartiflette was promoted in the 1980s by Reblochon producers to boost sales. Today it is a favorite in ski resorts, served with salad and white wine.
