About Pan de Pascua
Pan de Pascua is a Chilean Christmas cake made with candied fruit, nuts, raisins and spices like ginger, cinnamon and cloves. It is dense and moist.
It is similar to German Stollen and Italian panettone and was influenced by German immigrants in Chile. Some recipes include honey, coffee or a splash of pisco or rum.
Pan de Pascua is usually served at Christmas with cola de mono, a Chilean drink made of milk, coffee, spices and aguardiente.
